If you are 16 years of age and under there are loads of opportunities to get involved in!

The Volunteer Centre can help you find a volunteering opportunity if you want to get into volunteering. It's a great way to learn new skills, meet new people, make new friends, try out something you've always wanted to do!

Get involved in:
Sports coaching, Arts & Drama, Conservation Work, Animals, Children and many more.

Some examples of organisations who want Under 16s to be involved in are:
Glasgow City Council's Active Schools Programme (help organise sporting activities for Primary School Kids), Toonspeak Drama workshops, Riding For the Disabled (Riding Assistant), The Village Story Telling Centre, WRVS, Aberlour Children's Trust (various Glasgow Projects)

Contact us to if you need help to find anymore opportunities which are not listed on our website. As a young person you may not consider becoming a volunteer. In fact you may already be volunteering without knowing you're actually being a volunteer! Are you helping out at a youth club, a uniformed organisation (Brownies, Boys Brigade, Scouts, Girls Brigade, etc), a church group, in school (as part of your schools citizenship work, e.g. Eco Schools). We can help you get recognition through the Scottish Government's MV Awards Programme. Get certificated for 50, 100 & 200 Hours of volunteering! you can get this backdated for up to 2 years past.

If you live in the West (Drumchapel, Anniesland, Scotstoun, Yoker, etc) and Southwest of Glasgow (Pollok, Nitshill, Kennishead, Darnley, Arden, etc) you could get extra support to set up a Youth Led Volunteering Project if it is a goer of an idea!
