Come along to the Royal Highland Show, 24 - 27 June in Edinburgh, and discover a new career destination for 2010!

The Royal Highland Show will this year be offering the opportunity for young people to find out more about the variety of career opportunities available within the Scottish farming, food, drink and allied industries.

Employing over 400,000 people, the scope of different career opportunities throughout the ‘farm to fork’ journey is vast, and we want to help people to discover the variety of jobs available.

Come to the show and follow any or all of three ‘careers pathways’, which will take you on a trail of discovery to learn about the careers available to you. Each pathway will take in a number of exhibitor stands, each of which will highlight the part that they play in the ‘farm to fork’ journey.

These might include finance, agriculture, science, engineering, marketing - anything that is involved in the ‘farm to fork’ production chain – and will highlight the skills involved in the job as well as display any potential vacancies.

Young people coming in pre-arranged groups, or those under 16, get free entry to the show and you will find many fun and interesting activities to get involved in in addition to the career pathways.

Please email rhass@sceneandherdpr.co.uk if you are keen to arrange a group visit.
Otherwise, please come along on any of the show dates and find details of the ‘Discover Careers...from farm to fork’ pathways in the show programme and at the SAC stand situated next to the main ring.
